Day 1: Arrival, Check-in & Bangalore Sightseeing
Upon arrival at Bangalore airport or railway station, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in. After freshening up, you can proceed with sightseeing.
- Lalbagh Botanical Garden- Lalbagh Botanical Garden has one of India's finest collections of tropical plant life spread over 240 acres. What makes it special are the crafted flowerbeds, ornamental pools and a glasshouse, alongside a 3,000-million-year-old rock formation. The garden also has rare plant species sourced from Persia, France and beyond.
- Cubbon Park- Cubbon Park, officially named Sri Chamarajendra Park, is an urban park that stretches across 300 acres of bamboo groves, flowerbeds and lawns. Shaded pathways, colonial-era buildings, and soothing atmosphere also add to its elegance. It’s an ideal picnic spot for families, friends and anyone looking for a calm hour.
- Vidhana Soudha- Vidhana Soudha is Karnataka's seat of legislative power and a symbol of cultural pride. Designed in the Neo-Dravidian style, the building has elements from Chalukya, Hoysala and Vijayanagara traditions. It’s particularly striking in the evenings when illuminated.
- Bangalore Palace- Bangalore Palace is a striking Tudor-style structure inspired by London’s Windsor Castle. It was constructed in 1887 by the Wodeyar Dynasty. Its elaborate wooden carvings, fortified towers, and preserved interiors reflect the refined tastes of its patrons. The palace complex features several attractions, including an audio-guided museum tour.
- ISKCON Temple- ISKCON Temple Bangalore, perched atop Hare Krishna Hill, is one of the largest ISKCON temples in the world. Dedicated to Radha-Krishna, it’s a centre of devotion and community service. The architecture is a beautiful fusion of Neo-Classical style with traditional Dravidian elements.
- Bull Temple (Nandi Temple)- Bull Temple (or Nandi Temple) is considered one of the oldest temples in Bangalore. It features one of the largest statues of Nandi bull, Lord Shiva’s ride. This 4.5-metre-high idol has been carved out of a single granite rock. Devotees from all over India and abroad come to seek Nandi’s blessings.
Day 2: Transfer to Mysore, Srirangapatna sightseeing enroute & Mysore Sightseeing
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin the Mysore tour from Bangalore. On the way, we’ll also stop at Srirangapatna. In Mysore, transfer to your hotel and check in.
En-route Sightseeing
- Dariya Daulat Bagh- Dariya Daulat Bagh (meaning "Sea Wealth Garden") was Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace. It’s in Srirangapatna, on the way between Bangalore and Mysore. Built in the Indo-Saracenic style, this two-storey palace is built entirely with wood. The surrounding gardens, laid out in the Persian char bagh style, further accentuate the palace’s architecture.
- Gumbaz- Gumbaz is the mausoleum of Tipu Sultan, his father Hyder Ali, and other royal family members. It’s only a short distance away from Dariya Daulat Bagh. Built in Persian style, the structure is crowned with an onion-shaped dome. Its interiors are decorated with tiger-stripe motifs popularly associated with Tipu Sultan.
- Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple- Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple is one of the most revered Vaishnavite shrines in South India. The main deity is Lord Ranganatha, in a resting posture on the coiled body of the serpent Adishesha. Although the temple dates back to the 9th century, it underwent many structural changes during the Vijayanagara rule and other dynasties.
Mysore Sightseeing
- Mysore Palace- Mysore Palace, also known as the Amba Vilas Palace, is the centrepiece of the city. This three-storey royal residence has been built using grey granite and pink marble, in the Indo-Saracenic style. The entire structure is surrounded by an expansive garden. Inside, carved doors and elegant chandeliers reveal the opulence of the Wodeyar dynasty.
- St. Philomena's Church- St. Philomena's Church is one of the tallest churches in India. It was built in the 1930s under the patronage of the Mysore royals. Its Neo-Gothic architecture was inspired by the famous Cologne Cathedral in Germany. The twin spires rise to 175 feet and can be spotted even from a mile away.
- Brindavan Gardens- Brindavan Gardens is laid out at the foot of the Krishnaraja Sagara Dam. Stretched across 60 acres of symmetrical flowerbeds and tree-lined pathways, it’s a must-visit sightseeing spot during the Royal 3 Days & 2 Nights Bangalore Mysore Tour. Illuminated water fountains and riverside boating also make it a memorable destination.
Day 3: Mysore Sightseeing & Departure
After breakfast at your hotel, check out and proceed with sightseeing if time permits before your return journey.
- Chamundi Hill- Chamundi Hill, the home to Chamundeshwari Temple, is both a spiritual landmark and a vantage point.
